CDS

The Combined Defence Services exam is known as CDS. Each year, a national exam is conducted to select young people who meet the eligibility requirements for the Indian military forces. This test offers a fantastic opportunity to those who aspire to serve their country by joining the military.                                       The UPSC CDS exam is used to choose applicants for the following military branches: 

  •     Indian Army
  •     Indian Navy
  •     Indian Airforce
  •     Naval Academy
  •     Officers Training Academy                                                                                                                                                                                                                  This exam offers a wide range of prospects for both men and women. Only candidates for postings at the Officer Training Academy (OTA) may apply for the CDS exam as women or girls. It is a prestigious and well-respected career route field. Interested candidates should take the CDS 2023 and enlist in any of the Indian Defence Forces’ esteemed institutions as their first step in the military.

CDS Exam Eligibility

To advance in the selection process, candidates must be fully aware of the CDS 2024 qualifying requirements and meet all requirements. The UPSC CDS age restriction, nationality, educational background, and physical standards are the four components that make up the qualifying requirements. Candidates must meet each of the following requirements in order to be fully eligible for CDS 2024:

Physical Standards: According to the official CDS notification, candidates who have applied for various roles in the CDS 2024 must meet the physical standard requirements by being in good mental and physical health.

Nationality: A applicant must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India prior to January 1, 1962, with the goal of permanently settling there in order to be eligible to take the CDS exam in 2024.
